Here are some suggestions for routes throughout the Municipality of Monemvasia, designed to help you get to know this fascinating region more easily and enjoyably.
Each route covers a separate municipal department and includes the most interesting sights in a region that stretches from the Mt Parnon range and idyllic Kyparissi in the north to the famous Cape Maleas in the south.
A glance at the suggested routes will tell you that two or three days are not enough to fully explore the region. There are enough places of interest to fill a week or more of memorable holidays, particularly because of the inexhaustible choice of beaches to suit all tastes.
Each of the routes on its own can be easily covered in a day’s excursion; Each includes visits to places that are easily accessible. The only exception is Vatika 2, which includes an unsurfaced road.
It is possible to combine routes. In the right hand column are suggestions for combining some of the six suggested routes.
